This item can be placed on the wall in any house type.

House Item I found the Blighted Scimitar of the Emerald Dawn amongst the roots of the Tree of Blight within the Wakening Lands of Eastern Wastes in Velious. Thankfully, Firiona Vie was able to cleanse the Scimitar of the Emerald Dawn in time, but this trophy serves as a reminder of what had been lost and what could befall all of Norrath.

Before your very eyes, words begin etching themselves on the face of the Stone of Sorrow.
Following the Council of Gods, Tunare was found standing before the Tree of Growth by some of the Sifaye, her fairy-like children within the Wakening Land. They were excited to have her amongst them, until they noticed that something weighed upon her, causing the goddess to be forlorn. She explained of her necessity to depart from Norrath and, that as part of her pact with the other gods to cut off mortal access to their sacred realms, she had reluctantly agreed to remove the Tree of Growth from the Wakening Land.
This was causing her anguish.
She knew that she could not leave the Tree there, as Rallos Zek would doubtlessly ensure the gateway's destruction. But destroying the Tree would have endangered the power of growth across all of Norrath! She contemplated moving it to a hidden place, but then its absence could tip off Rallos, as well. She could think of no alternative. It would have to be destroyed.
She began to cry as she explained that its destruction would certainly mean the death of the Sifaye. Upon seeing her struggle with the decision they confered with one another and reached an agreement. Working together, several of them managed to take up the Scimitar of the Emerald Dawn, and severed a flowering snipping off the Tree.
They then presented the Mother of All with the Bloom of Growth. Her tears continued to flow, now with gratitude and mourning. She took up the Bloom, saying, "This Bloom of Growth is the promise of life. Your sacrifice this day will not be in vain, my Sifaye children. Your life essence will be forever entwined with it."
She then presented the flower to Wuoshi, the great dragon guardian of Wakening Land, and implored him to protect it. For some time, the Great Dragon watched over the Bloom, protecting it from any creature that might come too near his charge. The Bloom sat under the massive Tree of Growth, which provided it with care and sustenance, assuring that the fragile Bloom would continue to be strong and healthy.
However, to the dismay of both the Great Dragon, and the Tree of Growth, an old enemy began to stir in the mountains. The city of giants began to awaken once again, and the giants within started to invade the Wakening Land once more, taking its resources for their own.
The Great Dragon could have easily dealt with most giants without trouble, but they began to come out in greater numbers. It became apparent that even the might of the Great Dragon himself could not stand against the whole of the city of giants, and he was forced to take the Bloom to somewhere where he could better care for it.
The Tree of Growth provided the Bloom with what nurturing it could, before the Great Dragon took the Bloom to somewhere he could better watch over it. To cover his flight and protect the Wakening Land, the Tree of Growth prepared to stand against the giants. To be able to confront the giants, the Tree of Growth called on allies to help.
All manner of creatures heard the beckon of the mighty tree, and came to its aid - including the creatures known as the holgresh.

As the Tree of Growth made its preparations and gathered its strength, the holgresh began to harass the giants as they marched into the Wakening Land. Using their speed and cunning, the holgresh were able to slow the advance of their enemy, and gave the Tree the time it needed.
The holgresh gave all they had, but in the end, the giants marched on. They cut away at the trees and the animals that stood against them. They were making their way to the Tree of Growth, and there was little to stand against them.
The Tree of Growth was prepared for their assault. Filled with the power of Growth, it had once held the door to the dimension of Tunare's power. Although that portal was now closed, the Tree still carried the raw power of Growth within it. This power would be its weapon against the invaders.
As the giants approached and bared their axes, the Tree of Growth unleashed its fury upon them. It summoned the wind to blind the giants with dust and bits of the ground beneath it, called on the plants, molds, and fungus to release choking spores to debilitate their enemy, and finally, used its own roots as weapons when the giants advanced.
The Tree of Growth used its massive roots to lash at the approaching giants, shattering armor and snapping bones with each strike. Initially, the giants fell back from the tree's attacks, unprepared for the assault they had endured. Finally, however, the giants worked on a plan, and made a final advance on the Tree of Growth.
The giants coordinated their attack, managing to chop roots off as they swung, and cleave limbs from the tree as they drew closer. Eventually, the tree grew weak as its sap dripped from the cuts, covering the ground below. Soon, the roots fell to the ground, the winds stopped, and the Tree of Growth grew still. Triumphant, the giants took their crude axes, and cleaved away at the trunk of the tree.
The creatures that survived the attack of the giants watched in sorrow as the Tree of Growth, eldest and mightiest of all life in the Wakening Land, came crashing to the ground. From there, the giants began to clear out the Wakening Land, reducing it to a shadow of what it once was. They left the base of the tree where it once stood, a trophy and reminder to them of their conquest.
Thus, Rallos Zek's promise was carried out, and the Tree of Growth was no more, but the Bloom of Growth lived on! Wuoshi carved himself a lair, dubbed the Emerald Halls, where he continued to guard and care for the Bloom.
During the Age of Cataclysms, the Rending caused a crack to form in the mountain itself, opening the room that held the Bloom of Growth. Light shone down upon it and a mountain stream flowed downward into the chamber, forming a pool that watered the Bloom and kept it thriving, and from there into the Lesser Faydark.
The water touched by the power of Growth began to transform the flora and fauna of the Faydark. Trees changed shape and color; grasses grew thick and vibrant; animals that drank from the stream grew more feral and powerful. The revitalized Bloom still held a connection to the Plane of Growth! Even more significant was the Bloom's touch upon the fae.
The Fae had long been a sentient species, allied with Kelethin, the forest city within the Greater Faydark, but the Growth magics elevated this and evolved them. They were growing physically, socially, and magically, at a radical speed. They then found within themselves an essence that gave them the power to change their form into that of a very small sprite. It was not another form of their spirit buds, but something all together different!
Great cycles of time passed, and just as the Bloom, the fae and countless other creations of Growth developed in Faydwer, while Tunare remained absent, a bit of life was to be seen once more within the Wakening Lands. A sapling, regenerated from the roots of the Tree of Growth left deep within the soil, soon grew.
Unfortunately though, the severed connection to Tunare's Plane meant the arcane sapling, hungry to be nourished by the Plane of Growth, had only the slag, waste, and poisons flowing out of Kael Drakkel to feed its roots. What grew in its place was a Tree of Blight!
That was not to be the worst of it though, for during the Age of Destiny, treasure seeking adventurers stumbled upon Wuoshi's hidden lair, and slew the Great Dragon, later providing his heart to those dedicated to Hate. His Growth infused heart was then twisted with powerful spells and used to corrupt and poison the Bloom of Growth, which had remained within Emerald Halls.
But in the darkest hour does a single light shine brightest! While the Bloom fought its inevitable demise a single seed was rescued from the clutches of Hate and instead provided to Firiona Vie, the Chosen of Growth. It is in the best of hands now! Perhaps, the future of Norrath will once again know a blooming connection to the Plane of Growth after all!
